Dodge City Public Schools will develop positive citizens through safe and individualized learning environments for all students; preparing them to be college and career ready in math and literacy skills.

Goal F.1: By providing meaningful learning and communication opportunities and tracking feedback data from those opportunities, we will increase the overall understanding of school finances for the entire district and community.

Goal F.2: By developing a collaborative process to forecast and align financial resources and receiving feedback from goal champions, we will ensure continuous support of the other district strategic goal areas.

Climate/Culture

Provide a safe, respectful, welcoming and caring learning environment.

Goal C.1: By Spring 2029, reduce chronic absenteeism district wide below 12% as reported in AMOSS. Targets: Elementary 7%; Middle School 10%; DCHS 20%.

Goal C.2: By May 2029, increase the district’s overall Behavior/Social Emotional section score on the Inclusive MTSS Implementation Scale from 76% to 85%.

Academic

Challenge every student through engaging instruction, high standards, and personalized supports that promote academic growth and continuous improvement.

Key Support: Information Technology

 

Goal A.1.1: Increase the percentage of students scoring at or above Performace Level Descriptor (PLD) level 2 upper half on the KAP Reading Assessmnet by 10% or more each year.

Goal A.1.2: Increace the percentage of students scoring at or above Performance Level Descriptor (PLD) level 2 upper half on the KAP Math Accessment by 10% or more each year.

Goal A.2.0: For the duration of 5 years, beginning in 2021-2022 school year and ending in the 2025-2026 school year, 15% of English Learners will score an overall proficiency determination of Proficient (Level 3) annually on the KELPA.

Goal E.1: Analyze applicant data to ensure an increase in the number of qualified applicants in both certified and classified positions.

Goal E.2: Utilize engagement, retention, and transfer data to continue to encourage an engaging and supportive work environment in all areas.

Goal E.3: Track and analyze program participation and certification outcomes to ensure that grow-our-own initiatives are improving the number of highly effective educators.
