Dear School Community,
Today marks my first official day serving as Superintendent of Dodge City Public Schools, and I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share how honored I am to begin this journey with all of you.
I bring with me 25 years of experience in education, having served in a variety of teaching, coaching, and leadership roles. But more importantly, I bring the heart and mindset of someone who understands this region — I’m a product of western Kansas, raised on a farm outside of Victoria. It was there that I learned the value of hard work, resilience, and doing what’s right — even when it’s hard. Those lessons still guide me today. I am driven by a deep passion for helping individuals grow and accomplish things others may have thought impossible.
I believe our schools must provide a motivating, structured, and safe environment where every student can learn to become a productive, confident, and capable citizen. That is the challenge I am committed to, and I know it is one we can rise to together as a community.
I come into this role with deep respect for the work already happening across our schools and a strong sense of urgency to support and elevate the work ahead. Our students deserve the very best, and that starts with a strong partnership between families, staff, and the community. As we begin this new chapter, I want to be visible, approachable, and engaged. My commitment is to listen, learn, and lead with transparency, humility, and a relentless belief in what’s possible.
We will celebrate wins. We will face challenges head-on. And through it all, we will grow stronger — together.
As we step into a new school year, I hope you feel the excitement and importance of the work we do for our students. Every interaction, every lesson, every moment matters. I could not be more proud to begin this journey with all of you.
Let’s make it a great year.
