Our operation plan provides an overview of safety protocols for students, families, and staff during the school year.

July 28, 2021 – Dr. Dierksen and our Board of Education members believe that face-to-face instruction provides the best learning environment for our students.Kansas House Bill 2119 now mandates this action: http://kslegislature.org/li/b2021_22/measures/hb2119/. Remote Learning is no longer an option except as a short-term solution based on individual student need. If this applies to your family, please contact your child’s principal to discuss available options.

Dodge City Public Schools is planning to open our schools without mask mandates.  Our goal is to provide a healthy and vital learning environment for our school community.  Masks are optional. We want our staff members and families to feel comfortable with their own choice.  We will continue with hygiene education and providing hand sanitizer in high-traffic areas. We adhere to the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), and Ford County Health Department. Changes to our operation plan will be in response to updated information from these governing agencies.  Any updates to our policies will be shared through district communication platforms.

If you have any concerns, please contact the District Office at 620-371-1000. Thank you for choosing Dodge City Public Schools.
