Sarah Thomas Named Kansas Elementary Assistant Principal for 2026!

Dodge City, KS – There was an extra spark of “Rhino Pride” at Ross Elementary this week as the Dodge City Public Schools community gathered for a very special surprise. Surrounded by colleagues, district leadership, and her family, Assistant Principal Sarah Thomas was officially named the Kansas Elementary Assistant Principal fo the Year.
The atmoshere was electric as Mrs. Thomas realized the gathering wasn’t just a typical last day of school before Winter Break, but a celebration of her dedication to the students and staff of Ross Elementary. The surprise was made more meaningful by the presence of her family, who were on hand to witness the prestigious recognition.
“Mrs. Thomas brings her heart to work every single day,” said Superintendent Scheck. Her leadership at Ross Elementary has made a lasting impact on our students, families, and staff. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized at the state level. As the state winner, Mrs. Thomas will now move forward to represent Dodge City and the State of Kansas at the national level. This transition to the national competition higlights not only her persoan excellence but also the high standards of leadership within Dodge City Public Schools.
