Dodge City, KS – Dodge City Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Tate Lowe has been selected as the new Assistant Principal of Dodge City High School, effective for the upcoming school year.
Mr. Lowe has enjoyed a distinguished career with Dodge City Public Schools. He first joined the district in 2009 as the High School Assistant Wrestling and Football Coach. In 2013, he expanded his leadership as the Head Football Coach for Comanche Middle School.
Following a successful tenure from 2015 to 2019 as the Head Wrestling Coach at Valley Center—where his teams earned 2nd and 3rd place state finishes and he was named the 2017 KWCA Coach of the Year—Mr. Lowe returned home to Dodge City in 2019. Since his return, the boys' wrestling program has earned two 3rd-place state trophies, while the girls' program has secured two 3rd-place finishes, one state runner-up title, and a State Championship. In recognition of his leadership, Mr. Lowe was named the Kansas Official Association Coach of the Year in both 2023 and 2025.
Beyond his coaching success, Mr. Lowe has been an active leader in district initiatives and professional development. Since 2022, he has served as a member of the USD 443 District Health and Wellness Committee, and since 2024, he has served as the Health Science PLC Facilitator, guiding team collaboration for the Health Science Department.
Mr. Lowe’s academic background includes:
· Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2009): Western Colorado University
· Master of Science in Educational Leadership (2015): Emporia State University Off-campus,
Tate is supported by his wife, Megan, a Clinic Director and Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist at Clinical Associates. They have two daughters, Tymbree and Taeven. Together, the Lowe family enjoys a busy lifestyle filled with youth extracurricular activities and traveling adventures.
