Positive Case

  • At least 5 days have passed since symptoms first appeared (day 0) or, with no symptoms, since positive specimen was collected (day 0); AND,
  • At least 24 hours have passed since fever was experienced and any fever-reducing medications were used, and other symptoms have improved; AND,
  • The person continues to wear a well-fitting mask around others for 5 additional days and avoids situations in which a mask cannot be worn, such as restaurants and some gyms, and eating around others at home and at work.
  • Those who cannot wear a mask must isolate for 10 days.

Close Contact (Within six feet of the Positive Case for 15 cumulative minutes or more)

  • Everyone who is a possible close contact should be notified. 
  • If no symptoms, you do not have to quarantine.
  • The CDC recommends that you wear a high-quality mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5.

Household Contact

  • Everyone who is a possible close contact should be notified. 
  • If no symptoms, you do not have to quarantine.
