Central Elementray School’s library houses over 9,000 books. It serves all k-5 students in the school. Each class receives 50 minutes of library time a week. This includes a lesson and a check out time. Meet Mrs. Weil

Mrs. Weil is so happy to be a part of Central’s family. Her goal is to have an engaging library program where there is something for everyone. She works to create activities throughout the year to get students excited about reading. Mrs. Weil is a Dodge City native. She grew up in Dodge City and has raised her family here. She has been married to Justin for over 20 years. Their 2 boys, now grown, are also raising their families here. Mrs. Weil has spent her entire teaching career in Dodge City School District after receiving her bachelors in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University. She also has a masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in ESL. She is currently working on finishing her Library Media Specialist certification. In her spare time Mrs. Weil loves reading, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She feels so blessed to pass her love of reading on to the students at Central.
