EXITO After School Program

The EXITO After School Program is designed for secondary students in grades 6-12 at Dodge City Middle School, Comanche Middle School, and Dodge City High School. Students will engage in enrichment opportunities, homework assistance, skill building activities, language acquisition, STEAM and career path options. From these extended learning opportunities we expect our students to increase their achievement scores in reading and math, discover career interests and opportunities, and build relationships with other students and staff.

Students will engage in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) and other enrichment activities. They will have the opportunity to hear about career paths and guidance for future scholarly needs.

Daily Schedule

EXITO After School Program will meet Monday through Thursday, September to May. Program hours are specific to each school building:

• CMS: 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• DCMS: 3:15 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
• DCHS: 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Sunnyside Elementary: 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Beeson Elementary: 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Linn Elementary: 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Grade Checks
• Homework Completion
• Tutoring
• Enrichment/Stem Activity

Transportation

Transportation is available to all students who participate in the EXITO program. Students will be picked up at the school they attend and dropped off at the school nearest their home. There are a few additional stops in place for students who live too far from a designated school stop. Please contact the school building liaison for more information about the additional stops.

If other arrangements have been made for student pick up, please notify the site coordinator for your building, otherwise they will send your child on the bus.

Weather Procedures

The EXITO Program will NOT meet on the following days:

• Early Dismissal Days
• Inclement Weather Days
• Fridays
