Hospitality and Tourism Pathway
CULINARY ESSENTIALS | This 9 week course teaches students basic cooking skills.
FOOD SCIENCE | This semester long course focuses on the science of food and food safety.
BAKING & PASTRY I | This 9 week course focuses on the art of baking and pastry.
CULINARY ARTS 1 | This semester course teaches a more in depth knowledge of cooking and some baking with an introduction of restuarant industry training.
CULINARY ARTS 2 | This 9 week course is an independent study where students determine what they want to learn.
CULINARY APPLICATIONS | In this semster long class, students spent part of class time working in restuarants around town focusing on the food industry and some college prep.
Teaching / Training Pathway
HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT A & B | This is a class for young people who are interested in the study of human life cycle and its relationshiop to quality living.
TEACHER CADET | Students will explore the teaching profession in a variety of settings as identified nby an interest inventory, multiple intelligence and learning style surveys.
TEACHER CADET ADVANCED | Students will choose a grade level and/or content area they are interested in as a career option. Students will work with professional educators, business partners, and community leaders during this course.
Early Childhood Development and Services Pathway
HUMAN GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT A & B | This is a class for young people who are interested in the study of human life cycle and its relationshiop to quality living.
FAMILY STUDIES | This course emphasizes building and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationshiops in the family setting.
YOUNG CHILD FOUNDATIONS | This course is designed to review knowledege gained in Human Growth and Development A (B is optional) and Family Studies to appy in the child care setting.
YOUNG CHILD FUNCTIONS | This is an application level course of the Early Childhood Development Pathyway an allows students to practice skills in the real world settings.
