Meet Daniel Ackerman, Principal at Alternative Education! Ackerman is a graduate of Dodge City High School (class of 1990). He attended St. Mary of the Plains College until its closing. He graduate in 1995 from Benedictine College, Atchison, KS with a BA in History & a minor in Secondary Education. He earned his Graduate Degree in 2006 from Washburn University, Topeka, KS, with a Master Education in Educational Administration.

Q: What is your favorite part about your job?

A: Getting to work with students that just need a different way of doing things. I enjoy everything about the Alternative School from the students to the staff. 

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: Spend time with family, play golf, kayak, travel.

Q: Any fun facts about you?

A: Just a Dodge City boy that is back in his hometown giving back to the community that gave me so much.
