DCHS Alumni Announces Brett Seybold as 2025 Ring of Honor Inductee

Brett Seybold, Class of 1999
The Dodge City High School Alumni Association is proud to announce that
Brett Seybold is joining the prestigious group of individuals inducted into
the DCHS Ring of Honor. Brett was chosen for his outstanding career
accomplishments with USAA.
Brett was a three-sport student-athlete at Dodge City High School. Most
notably, he played a key role in the starting rotation for the 1999 State
Championship Baseball Team – throwing a complete game in the State
Semifinals before turning around and starting the State Championship
Game later that same day. His nine innings of work in a State Tournament is a DCHS Baseball record.
After he graduated from DCHS, Seybold attended Dodge City Community College where he earned his
Associates degree before transferring to Kansas State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree
in Finance.
After his time at K-State Brett moved to Texas and began his career path as an intern for USAA.
Seybold worked for USAA for 20 years before being promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer of USAA. Now as CFO with 1,110 people on his team, Seybold is paying it forward,
encouraging others to learn and grow. “If you do your job well, remain passionate about learning, and help others succeed, you'll have a great
career, without even needing to bounce around to different companies,” Seybold said.
In 2019, Seybold was named the San Antonio Business Journals: 40 Under 40 Man of the Year. At the age
of 44, Seybold became one of the youngest CFOs at Fortune 500 companies in the nation.
Brett married fellow Red Demon Shandria (Koehn) and they reside in San Antonio, TX. They have two
children, a son - Rhyker and daughter - Dagny.
Brett Seybold will be inducted into the DCHS Ring of Honor at halftime of the Home Opener for Red
Demon Football at Memorial Stadium on Friday, September 12.
