DCHS Alumni Association Announces Greg Goff as 2025 Ring of Honor Inductee

The Dodge City High School Alumni Association is proud to announce that Greg
Goff is joining the outstanding group of individuals inducted into the DCHS Ring
of Honor. Greg was chosen for his extensive community involvement and for
bettering the community of Dodge City.
Goff’s family moved to Dodge City when he was in the sixth grade. He attended
Central School, Dodge City Junior High, and graduated from Dodge City High
School in 1967. Goff was a varsity letter winner in both football and basketball,
playing for Red Demon Legend – JC Riekenberg.
After graduating from DCCC in 1969, Goff attended Baker University on a
basketball scholarship. As a Baker Wildcat, Goff was team captain, led the team in assists and set a school
record for free throw percentage. In 1971, he graduated from Baker University with a degree in physical
education and a minor in social science.
Goff taught and coached basketball at Herington and Spearville High Schools for four years before he
chose to return to Dodge City to join the family car business with his father, Don Goff, in 1974. Thus, he
began his quest as a community-minded businessman and supporter of all things Dodge City and
Southwest Kansas.
Greg was instrumental in launching Upward Bound basketball in Dodge City in 2000. The focus of Upward
basketball was to develop and teach youth about basketball and share the gospel of Jesus with the
athletes.
Goff continues to be a generous supporter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has also wanted
students to know the importance of using sports and their platform to glorify the Lord.
Greg is married to a former Red Demon and educator Linda (Burke) Goff. They have three sons who all
graduated from DCHS: Jarod, Travis, and Derek.
Greg Goff will be inducted into the DCHS Ring of Honor at halftime of the Home Opener for Red Demon
Football at Memorial Stadium on Friday, September 12.
