Beeson Teacher named Region 1 Finalist for Kansas Teacher of the Year

Dodge City Public Schools - Susanne Stevenson, a fourth-grade teacher at Beeson Elementary School, was named Region 1 finalist for the 2022 Kansas Teacher of the Year award on Saturday, March 27. This award recognizes excellent teaching in the elementary classrooms in the state.

As a finalist for the Kansas Teacher of the Year distinction, Stevenson will receive a $2,000 cash award and be eligible to be named Kansas Teacher of the Year, which will be announced September 25 in Wichita. 

This year, 138 educators across the state were nominated for the Kansas Teacher of the Year distinction.
