Amy Loder named Director of Elementary Education

Dodge City, KS - Dodge City Public Schools is pleased to announce that Amy Loder has been selected as the district’s next Director of Elementary Education, effective July 1, 2023.
“We are thrilled to have Amy on our Dodge City Public Schools team. She has successfully developed a positive school culture for students, parents, and staff at Ross Elementary. Her work shows that she is devoted to seeing her students grow and be successful.” Dr. Dierksen said.

Loder has been an educator in the district since 1996, when she started as a First Grade Teacher. In 1997 she transitioned to Kindergarten, where she taught until 2008. She then became an Instructional Coach for one year before accepting the Ross Elementary Intern Principal role in 2009 and Ross Elementary Principal in 2010, where she currently serves. Loder received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Fort Hays State University and her Master of Education Leadership from Kansas State University. Her endorsements include Building Leadership, K-9 General Educator, Reading Specialist, and English as a Second Language. Loder has served as Kansas Educational Leadership Institute Mentor, College Education Program Reviewer for KSDE, 2020 Building and District Leadership Standards for Review Committee, and Board Member for Arrowhead West and Special Olympics - KS.

Amy married her high school sweetheart, Dale Loder, in 1992. They are the proud parents of two children, Allana and Blake; Allana lives in Dodge City, and Blake lives in Newton with his wife Jacie. Amy loves traveling with her family, making jelly and home-canned items from the garden. According to Loder, “I love working in education because there is nothing more rewarding than seeing current and former students grow and be successful. The smiles of the kids entering the building every day warm my heart. I am very excited about my new role and working closely with district leaders to help our students realize their dreams.”
