DCPS is committed to notifying parents each time there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in their child's school, whether it is a student or staff member. To help parents stay informed, we will be updating the cases each week. If there is a positive case in your child's classroom, you will receive a letter or a phone call from your student's school. We are relying on the Ford County Health Department to help us with any quarantine or contact-tracing procedures. We are releasing positive cases for each school. If there are multiple cases in a classroom, we will expand the list. With over 7000 students and 1209 staff members, we can't report those quarantined because of contact or household exposure. Families can help reduce the spread of the virus in schools and our community by practicing hand hygiene, social distancing, and wearing a mask. Parents should monitor their child's health daily and keep sick children home from school.
