USD 443: Dodge City Public Schools is pleased to announce Mr. Jason Scheck as the Executive Director of Human Resources. Scheck will begin his new role in the district on July 1, 2021.
Mr. Scheck has been an outstanding leader in Dodge City Public Schools for the last seven years. He started his career as a classroom teacher and coach for two years before accepting the role of assistant principal at Dodge City High School, where he worked closely with teachers by individualizing professional development opportunities. For the past two years, Scheck has been the Principal for Alternative Ed.
Throughout his career, he has participated in meetings at the state capital to inform educators of upcoming legislation directly affecting schools and stakeholders. He implemented new procedures for attendance and disciplinary actions for students and worked with other school leaders on policies and budgets to support legal school operations.
Scheck received his Bachelor of Science from Fort Hays State University in 2000 and his Master of Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2007. He is currently completing the District Leadership Program from Fort Hays State University.
Those who work with Jason will tell you that he excels at motivating his students and his team members. According to Scheck, “I have been fortunate to meet and work directly with the great people of this district in many different capacities. As the new Executive Director of Human Resources, I look forward to serving the great people of this district and community in yet another capacity. The success of our students ultimately comes through the success of our employees.”
Dr. Dierksen said, “Mr. Scheck is a quality individual that has been successful throughout his career, including right here at 443. He is a leader who values a team concept and will work hard to meet the considerable demands of HR. We are excited to expand his role to administration-level duties.”
Jason and his wife Mindy have three sons. They enjoy being outdoors. On any given day, you can find them on the golf course, hanging out at the lake or hiking to their favorite hunting spot. They spend the rest of their time volunteering for their favorite local charities or organizations.
