As a growing school district, USD 443 faces several significant challenges now and in the very near future. As we move forward in facing those challenges, we asked for the help of our community to let us know what they see as our district’s most pressing needs in areas ranging from facilities and class sizes, to safety and security.
Dodge City USD 443 created a Visioning Team that met to help clarify and communicate these challenges; but more importantly, helped plan for the future in a manner that meets the needs of our students and the expectations of the patrons of USD 443.
The Visioning Team explored the current status of education facilities in Dodge City and helped develop a plan for the future that was recommended to the Board of Education.
In June 2015, the community of Dodge City voted 2-1 in favor of a "no new tax" $85.6 million School Facilities Bond Referendum. The vote was:
